As everyone knows, Chinese kungfu is not only very famous, but also being loved by the kungfu lovers, especaily the foreigners among whom come to China only for learning Chinese Martial arts.

There are many types of Kungfu in China, of which the most well-known one is Shaolin Kungfu. It is a Buddhist martial art that has developed over 1,500 years, and includes 217 series of classical skills and tricks. Shaolin qigong and boxing, and Shaolin children's exercises are well known in China and overseas, hence the Chinese saying, "Earthly gongfu comes from Shaolin."

The tour we organize is to see the Shaolin Kungfu performed in a play in the Red Theater:

Although a brand-new and extravaganza Kung Fu show, produced and presented by CHC, has come into being in July 2004 in Beijing, however, CHC has collected a group of the best Kung Fu practitioners of China and invited the best directors and designers of the country. The show is a must-see production in Beijing for tourists and Kung Fu lovers.

Duration

The show starts at 19;30 every evening and lasts one and half hour to 20:30 at the end.

Tourists pay for the show to the driver who will buy the tickets for tourists. The driver takes you to the Great Wall Hotel when the show is finished.

The One Day Tour

Simatai, located in the north of Miyun county, 120km northeast of Beijing, holds the access to Gubeikou, a strategic pass in the eastern part of the Great Wall.

Similar to the tour of Jinshanling, the Simaitai Great Wall tour is the only one part visit tour of which guests can climb up to top of the Wall and comes back in the same way to the bottom.

The 40RMB/person entrance fee is included in the charge.
Besides, the extra charge of the cable car there is a sliding car there for the guests who need these. It costs 50.00RMB/person by cable car for round-way and 30.00 RMB/person for one way. On the other hand, the sliding car at the foot of Simatai costs 35.00 RMB/person only one way. It is still an enjoyable walk back from Simatai along road on the mountain beside the reservoir with very attractive landscape.

The tourists who go to Jinshanling and Simatai will take same mini-bus (with air-conditioning). Depends on the arrival time, guests will be given the time for coming back after they spesnd 4-hour touring on the Wall ( usually about 16:30). Tourists can arrange for these four hours on the Wall by taking photos or anything else they like to do. Yet they have to get Simatai on time and take our mini-bus back to the city.

The One Day Tour

This Tour is the 10 km hiking which you can walk from one section of the Wall to another, that is, to Walk from Jingshanling to Simatai.

Jinshanling Great Wall about 150 kilometers away from Beijing lies in the mountainous area in Luanping county of Hebei province. The wall looks a bit old and ruinous but much more natural, 7.8 meters high, 5-6 meters thick at bottom.

There, 32 watchtowers were built on the wall in some strategic places with their diversified shapes. The ground floor was used for living, storing food and weapons and the top floor was used for defense.

Connected with Jinshanling, Simatai Great Wall holds the access to Gubeikou, a strategic pass in the eastern part of the Great Wall. This section of the Wall is 5.4km long with 35 beacon towers known for its steepness, ingenuity and uniqueness. Siamtai stands out as the most fascinating example of the architecture along the entire Great Wall.

Jinshanling

It is about three hours to drive to Jinshanling where there are restaurant that guests can have an lunch (NOT included in tour price).

The entrance fees there are included in this trip.

Tour Itinerary

Day Itinerary

Pick up at your hotel between 7:00am and 8:30am, and then driving to Beijing Zoo where you can see the lovely Giant Pandas. The Panda Zoo visit takes about 40 minutes. Then take you to the largest Lama Temple of Beijing --- Yonghe Temple, 1 hour tour for the mysterious Tibet style Buddhism temple. The Lama Temple tour finishes at about 11:00. Before having lunch (12:00), you will have 45 minutes to visit the Chinese traditional handicraft silk carpet factory.
You will be arranged to have lunch with locals in a typical Beijing resident's house. Then you will be arranged to visit the old Beijing lanes by taking rickshaws. Hutong tour lasts for 2 hours. You will visit the typical Chinese quadrangles, primary school, many famous old buildings, like the bell tower, where you can explore the real life of ordinary people in Beijing.
We will arrange 45 minutes to take pictures at the Bird's nest and water cube. If you are interested in the inner structure of the stadiums, the tour guide will assist you in buying the tickets, and you could enter in the stadiums for a visit yourself. Driving the travelers back to their hotel.
On the way to your hotels, we also arrange the short visit to a China Tea House to enjoy tea ceremony. Transferred back to your hotels.
